Description:

A large carolina locust on my house. One of the largest grasshoppers and heavily distributed through most of North America. Despite their large size they are not as aggressive as the Asian or African Locust. They feed on plants such as wheat, barley, and dandelion, among many other host plants.

Habitat:

Widespread through North America.
