Field Notes

Description:

The light morph adult has a plain, pale belly with light barring on the outside. The head and back are brown, the face and neck are white, and there is a dark bib around the chest area.

Habitat:

They are found in grasslands and prairie habitats in the Americas. This guy was just hanging out on a post near an open grassland field.
