Field Notes

Description:

Wikipedia calls this bird undistinguished looking, but I still find it beautiful with its muted grey/brown coloration and streaked cap and breast.

Habitat:

Spotted through a window in our Mesaieed garden. It was too busy catching flies and other insects to be bothered about me :)

Notes:

These little passerines undertake annual migration, wintering in South Western Asia and Africa before returning to European breeding grounds. Like many other species that travel this route, they make a pit-stop in Middle Eastern countries like Qatar.

Thank you Rieko :))
Glad you agree Debbie! :D It's been fun to watch these little guys hunt in our garden.
