Field Notes

Description:

I think this is a goldfinch with leucism, but not sure.

Habitat:

Spent a lot of time today in cherry trees in my yard and visited my bird feeder that was filled with a cardinal blend of sunflower, safflower, and dried fruit

Notes:

Just yesterday I spotted a goldfinch (with regular black markings) and today this one showed up so I would guess it is the mate to the one I saw yesterday, however it doesn't look normal. Is this more likely to be a goldfinch with leucism or someone's escaped pet canary? I can't say how it would compare in terms of size because I'm not familiar with how big canary's are. It appeared to be the same size as the goldfinch that I saw yesterday.
