Field Notes

Description:

Beautifully patterned, docile snake about 3-3.5 feet long. Observed basking on a dirt path. I sat next to it for a few minutes and it didn't seem to mind.

Habitat:

Chaparral; seen on a dirt path in a grassy field in Sycamore Grove park
