Description:

Spider: I went into the garage, looking for insects to photograph, and I saw a very small spider, resting on one of the walls, that was on the inside of the garage. This spider was one eighth of an inch wide, and one eighth of an inch long. Its abdomen, was a dark brown color. It's cephalothorax, was also a dark brown color, and it also had some reddish brown coloring to it too. It had eight, very thin, jointed legs. The color of its legs, was a gray color. It also had some dark areas on each of its legs. Spiders have major ecological and agriculture roles, as predators of insects. Phylum: Arthropoda Class: Arachnida Order: Araneae This spider was alive, and able to move, and able to catch prey.

Habitat:

Spiders are very versatile, and they do quite well in all types of habitats. Spiders blend in very well, to there natural surroundings. Spiders need to be able to build there webs, and have enough prey, for them to survive. Spiders live in almost every habitat on earth. Many spiders get around, by a behavior called - ballooning. Spiders are an important and fascinating part of our natural environment.
