Red-shouldered Hawks have a longer tail than most Buteos, and have a crescent shape towards the end of the wing, which can be seen in your photos.
No, unfortunately not. It didn't seem quite big enough for a Red-tailed, but I am admittedly a novice when it comes to identifying hawks.
