Field Notes

Description:

A delicate mushroom with gleaming white cap, stipe and gills. The cap (20mm wide)had a slightly flattened umbo which in some mushrooms was tinted a buff colour.
The stipe had a delicate cuff-like annulus and appeared almost translucent below the annulus.
Some caps were slightly damaged by rain (pics 3&4).

Habitat:

Spotted in damp eucalyptus forest amidst sodden leaf litter. A south Australian species.
