Description:

This very large white bird is easy to distinguish from its smaller relatives by its size. The great Egret is the size of a Great Blue Heron. This egret is displaying its breeding plumage - look closely at the green feathers by its bill.

Habitat:

I was surprised to find this bird here. They are usually found along the west coast or in the central US. Here in Utah we get birds form both flyways - Central and Pacific. They love wetlands
