Field Notes

Description:

This plant had gone to seed and was white and fluffy. It was also very spiky, with thorns growing all over the plant. We were above the tree line, so vegetation was very different. Must be very hardy to live in those conditions.

Notes:

This plant was located along the Continental Divide trail in Loveland Pass, CO at 12,000ft. elevation.
