Field Notes
Description:
Collected Cat Hair pinched in a fence. Nest Building material.
Habitat:
Urban Chicago, This is the third time I have done this. I collected Goober's hair in a zip lock bag over the winter. Birds will collect animal hair from tree bark or barb wire fence. I loaded the fence up good. Went inside, made and ate lunch. When I opened the backdoor, 50 birds flew off mostly from the ground. Fence was empty. Held back a small amount reloaded the fence. A little shaky video from farther away than I wished.
Notes:
I came in the room, Goober was staring intently out the window. Up on the neighbors gutter is my guess a chickadee. Mouth full with a clump of grass and dirt. It is Time. The F U N part. Goober is the only cat that I have had experience with that doesn't mind getting brushed. Those flat wire ones. He sits on chair. You have just under two minutes to brush him then he loses interest. The hair fills the brush like felt. Especially his tail.
