Dark green to light green body with a yellow head

Habitat:

Grass (it was eating grass) and roses

Notes:

Found it on a street corner where someone had planted a variety of plants around the street sign

Hi Sarah, it looks like you have found a Sawfly larva. Sawflies are a type of wasp. Their larvae look a lot like butterfly or moth caterpillars but they have more prolegs and a distinct look to the head.
