Description:
Leptophobia is a Neotropical genus of butterflies in the family Pieridae. They are considered pests by some, because they feed on economically important plants in the Brassicaceae, Tropaeolaceae, Solanaceae families, including the Brassica, Tropaeolum, Cleome, Solanum, Rorippa and Podandrogyne genuses.
Habitat:
A small town surrounded by cultivated fields.
Notes:
The other photos in the series show the butterfly emerging from its cocoon and expanding its wings.
