Field Notes

Description:

Tiny, stalkless, orange cup fungi that were 5mm in size. The outer edges of the fruiting bodies were covered with a fringe of long, dark hairs that resemble eyelashes. They were growing in a small cluster.

Habitat:

Growing in a knot-hole on decayed wood in a deciduous forest.
