Habitat:

Wasp are spread far and wide with the only limiting factors for habitat being temperature and food source. They require moderately warm temperature.

Notes:

Wasp are not bees. They can sting you more than once. They cannot produce wax or make honey. They make next by chewing weathered wood and mixing it with saliva to create a paper substance.

Nice find. This looks more like a paper wasp from genus Polistes. http://bugguide.net/node/view/572 Unfortunately, I do not believe this image is clear enough to get a positive ID. Vespula vulgaris is not found in North America. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vespula_vulgaris
