Field Notes

Description:

Orange/light brown ants, around 10 mm long.

Habitat:

They build their nest in a tree by weaving together the leaves with silk produced by their larvae.

Notes:

These guys are building their nest in the mango tree in our backyard (Antipolo, Philippines). The last picture shows the actual nest, but may be difficult to see in this photo.
