Field Notes

Description:

Blue bird with black wings. When I checked the bird song on my phone for the indigo bunting, this little guy immediately flew down after playing the audio. It landed on a post in the garden and began frantically flapping its wings, which I assume is a territorial display.

Habitat:

Open field within a hardwood forest
