Field Notes

Description:

The body size is 7.5 - 9 mm and the shape is broadly oval. It lives in thermally favored meadows, vineyards, clear pine and oak forests and forest edges. Adults can be seen from early May to early July. Their host plants are mostly grasses and herbs. It can be found till the altitudes of 700 m.

Habitat:

It is widespread in southern Central and Eastern Europe and in the central and eastern Mediterranean.
