I was only able to get one shot of this guy before he disappeared into the vegetation in Tangkoko Batuangus National Park.

Dan, Sure. Haven't found any references where the family Acrididae is broken down into genus and species yet though.

Dan, I think these may be short-horned grasshoppers of the family Acrididae. Haven't gotten it down lower than that yet.
Yeah, definitely looks the same. Let me know if you get an ID as they mature.
