Description:

Mantidae; Mantinae; Paramantini; Hierodula; Hierodula patellifera Serville, 1839. I have had problems identifying this kind of Mantis before, but this time I feel more confident that my ID is correct. I was lucky with my photos because I think each one displays some of the important identifying marks.

Habitat:

Spotted on a hedge on the outside of our front garden wall.
