Description:

This species is only found on the mountain of haleakala national park.This species has a vulnerable status that makes it on the IUCN red book of species.This flower is maroon purple color with some pollen in the middle.The climate at the top of the mountain is dry and very cold.
The problem is that this species is suffering of people stepping on the plant and killing it.The name silversword comes from the bottom of the plant that is silver and spiny.
