They might have very well done genetic testing if it is a conservation which would be very cool. Not sure how they can rule out other species in the genus being around there if they are all so widesread though
This part of the beach is a Marine life conservation are and protected. I went to their office and asked them the name of the local species. Maybe i should just leave it as Aurelia sp?
Hema, how did you determine the species? According to wikipedeia, "All species in the genus are closely related, and it is difficult to identify Aurelia medusae without genetic sampling"

Yes,Moon jelly.I was'nt so fortunate to see it swimming . i did see a blob on land though.
