Field Notes

Description:

Tiny little cream colored ladybug with unusual markings. About 2 mm long. Have never seen this one before.

Habitat:

Garden, San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.

Notes:

In the first picture there is also a white fly larva and Female (?).

Distinctive! Ladybirds vs. Leaf beetles: Ladybirds have short antennae (max. as long as heads' width)
That is a good question to which I do not have an answer, sorry. I am not a beetle expert, but it reminded me of the Calligrapha sp. , which is a leaf beetle and a Chrysomelid. I do not have any resources to check species in Mexico, so research is limited to web sources.
Thank you gatorfellows, didn't see anything similar. Do you think this is a Chrysomelid and not a Coccinellid?
