Uff!! Thanks, Nuwan and Leena for your efforts! I still can trust my eyes :-))!
see the description of my link "Some specimens don't have tails"
after little research i'm agreeing with bayucca. it's a broken tailed Common Lineblue ;-) also the "yellow form" i think! http://www.slbutterflies.lk/Butterfly.php?cid=158
Tailless sounds definitely fine ;-)... I had this one also on my screen but ruled it out: Spots in Dubiosa are some kind of more bulky and rounded not straight and rectangular-like shaped. Next to the big eye I see here an empty space whereas in yours immediately after the eyespot are the too tiny black spots. If you take the forewing in this one, you see 3 rows of spots. In row #1 and #3 there is at the margin a completely detached rectangular-shaped smaller spot. That are all things my eyes see, nothing more and I am still confused about the tail! Could it be that this little thing has hidden it behind the wings ;-)... I really do not know how accurate my observations or my suggestion actually are, so I am glad somebody is looking for the correct ID! Thanks, Leena! Do we have other Blue freaks out there???
Hi bayucca! I have a similar spotting in the Philippines at http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/17188643 . I have identified it as Tailess Line-blue (Prosotas dubiosa) but I am having second thoughts after I read your comments re AmalludinSyahKono's spotting. Please help... thanks!
Hmm, I did another re-check and did not find another reasonable candidate as Prosotas nora. There are some similar ones: http://www.flutters.org/home/html/photos.php?level=album&id=120 All with tails, I agree with Nuwan, that is a little bit strange. But it could be that it only has one little attack by a bird, which usually would take the tail not the head, at least that that would be the natural purpose of this symmetrical tail and eye mimic in Blues. So, one little attack and wush the tail has gone...
Good argument, Nuwan! Any other suggestion??

What about the Tail ??? broken? but seems to be a fresh specimen!
Lycaenidae, Prosotas nora I would say. And it is one of the most beautiful and delicate little Blue I ever have seen!! Love this wonderful golden touch! http://www.flickr.com/photos/itchydogimages/7654236992/ http://www.butterflycircle.com/checklist%20V2/CI/index.php/start-page/startpage/showbutterfly/199 Please, verify nevertheless!
