Baby Green Turtle

Baby Green Turtles, 4-days old seen at the Turtle Hatchery & Conservation Center in Penang National Park.

The newly hatched babies are kept for up to 3 months at the Hatchery Center before they are release to the sea/wild for higher chances of their survival. If left to nature, only about 5% of all turtles that hatched will survives to adulthood as they are predated by Lizards, dogs, birds and when they reach the sea, by other bigger fishes.
