Field Notes

Description:

This pied wagtail was foraging in some bushes for any insects or bugs that happened to be in there. It managed to get something in photo 3 but was walking away from me evertime I tried to get a bit nearer so I'm not quite sure what exactly he caught. Only saw one of these here.

Habitat:

seen on the pathway leading into Las salinas Calpe.

Thankyou Pedro for correcting it, I will know now for the next one.
Fair enough, Debbie! It is the same species, just a different subspecies which happens to have a different name. I just wanted to point out this difference but the id was spot on!
Hi Pedro, I have the scientific name in already so will just change the common name
Hello once again Debbie, This one is actually a White Wagtail (M. a. alba), a different subspecies from Britain's Pied Wagtail (M. a. yarrelli).
