Field Notes

Description:

There appeared to be 3 adults and 2 younger ones.

Habitat:

These birds were observed at a County Park along the Gulf of Mexico. They were nearer the shoreline on the calmer side of a small park causeway riding the waves being "kicked up" by a south bound front w/ high winds moving into the Tampa Bay area this date. They appeared to have no intention of leaving during the heavy winds and higher surf.
