Field Notes

Description:

Convoluted jelly fungus; opaque white when young becoming grayish with yellow near attachment point. Upper side, dull; underside may be shiny. Largest ca. 10 cm width. Spores, ca 10µ x 5µ.

Habitat:

Growing alone and in clusters on fallen hardwood log in shaded area on floodplain above creek

Notes:

Exidia alba is a synonym
