Description:

Largest of the black and white geese, the Canadian Goose is widely distributed and common. this bird has a black head and neck, head has a white chin with adjoining patches up the chin to the side of the crown, sexes alike. Upper body is gray to brown, breast is light in color and the rump is white.

Habitat:

This bird is very common, found near almost any body of water that has a bit of size such as a pond or lagoon. Now found in many urban settings including nesting sites, the Canadian Goose is very well known.

Notes:

These geese have become relatively easy to photograph due to their comfort from becoming use to people.
