Field Notes

Description:

The female eastern towhee is a light brown bird, whereas the male is black. She has rusty red-brown sides and white belly. Long brown tail with white tip. About 7-8" in size. The female stays along the edges of brush. Had to get her to come out with bird seed so I could take her picture.

Habitat:

Crooked River State Park, St Marys, Georgia
