Field Notes

Description:

Lifer, and one that meant a lot to me :) They have been my favorite moth since I got into moths last summer, and I was ecstatic to finally find one! Mostly yellow with large eye spots on the hind wings.

Habitat:

Found on the side of our bunkhouse at night. It was pretty cold, so he stayed there until lunch time the next day til it was warm enough for him to fly off. Thorn scrub habitat.
