Field Notes

Description:

It is a small sparrow with a length of around 5.5 inches and a width of around 8.5 inches. It weighs up to around 12 grams. It has a long thin tail and a pinkish beak.

Habitat:

In the summer it stays in open woodland or other places where their are trees. In the winter it stays in shortgrass areas with scattered trees and/or bushes.

Notes:

Last year in 2016 their were almost always house sparrows that came to our bird-feeder and now their are almost always chipping sparrows.
