Description:

•They are detritivores and also feed on filamentous algae.
•The spawning is between May and August.
•The fecundity rate is high and several million eggs are produced.

Habitat:

Marine and brackish environments, sometimes in freshwater
-I saw these mullets in Angra dos Reis (RJ, Brazil)
