Description:

I found this wading shore bird in a fresh water pond near Caspers Recreational Park in Orange County California. I have not seen this particular bird at this particular pond in 1+ years.

Habitat:

Marshes and ponds in Canada and Alaska. Migrates on the Pacific coast (this photo in Orange County CA, about 12 miles inland from the coast).
