Field Notes

Description:

Light brownish-grey upperparts and light buff to white with streaking on the underparts. Long tail, pale eyes, and a straight bill. Slightly smaller than a robin.

Habitat:

Spotted in eastern Washington along a farm road in shrub-steppe habitat. They are found in parts of the western U.S. and northern Mexico where there are sage and shrub-steppe.
