Field Notes

Description:

'green' is not the colour I would use to describe this vivid turquoise fungus. Only 5mm with lots of staining on the wood around the fruiting body.
The wood staining is common but the fruiting bodies are rare.

Habitat:

a very well rotted but relatively dry piece of native NZ wood
