Field Notes

Description:

A childhood favorite for most people, the walkingstick is a clumsy true bug that is harmless to the handler. They are vegetarian and mostly nocturnal--this guy fell off of a privet tree onto my shirt, so I released it back on to it!

Habitat:

Blending into trees, shrubs, and other foliage.
