Field Notes

Description:

Tiny moth. Pale coloration with darker patterning on wings.

Habitat:

Semi-rural yard. Attracted to the lights at night.

Notes:

Smaller of two Tortricids observed resting near each other.

Wise guy! ;-) It looks similar to a couple of species and it's not a spectacular photo, unfortunately. Perhaps it's a Garden Tortrix: http://bugguide.net/node/view/32034 What do you think?
First it was a little test ;-) and since this one is in the meanwhile a global pest, I am not sure about the range. Do you think it stopped at the Rockies? But all these Tortricidae are very similar and you may look for another genus and specially host plant.
Thanks for the suggestion but I think they are only found on the West Coast and I am in NY.
