Very lucky, spectacular spotting! Despite their large size tapirs are surprisingly difficult to spot in the wild. Welcome to Noah bibiana. I look forward to more spottings from French Guiana.
It is in the wild! We were on a boat, going along the Approuague river (French Guiana) when we suddenly spotted its head coming out of the water as it was swimming... It eventually got out and got lost into the forest.
Is this tapir in the wild or in captivity? It's cool looking.
