Description:

This is not a good picture, but is the only one I captured before he flew away. I have never seen this one before. It is about 1 cm long and the underside is entirely black. I think it is a Cantharidae.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light in the garden, San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.
