Field Notes

Description:

A bright yellow flower. If you hold it under your chin then you like butter! Although if you place the pretty petals near your face, I hope you don't mind the toxic skin irritants!

Habitat:

Fields, roadsides, yards

Notes:

I am not positive this is the classic buttercup because there are a lot of very similar looking flowers around here. Please comment your opinions. It may help to go to easttennesseewildflowers.com and see all the orange and yellow spring flowers.
