Description:

Common weed in the backyard of my family in Florida. Monocot species; grass-like leaf blades; flower-parts in triplicate; bluish-purple flower with bright yellow anther tips. Related species: T. virginiana; Asiatic Day Flower; Rheo and Wandering Jew house plants.

Habitat:

Lawn weeds in the south and common forest and old field species in the north. Eastern US. Winter Park, Florida specimen.
