Green ormer. Oreja de mar

A deformed ear-like shell, approximately 70mm in size with numerous irregular radial folds and few rapidly widening turns. It has a row of holes on the outer edge of the shell through which it expels water in case of danger. The color is mottled brown, almost always covered by encrustations of algae. The inside of the shell is pearly. The body of the animal is soft with a broad foot and numerous lateral tentacles, which in many cases come out through the holes in the shell.
