Field Notes

Description:

Dark blue bird, ~ 20cm length overall, with red breast and white patch at base of tail.

Habitat:

Tropical insular coastal valley.

Notes:

Spotted perched on the bole of a large tree along he trail to the falls in Waimea Falls Park. (Not the erroneous "Mililani" location cited above, which I have been unable to change.)
