Field Notes

Description:

Small orange wasp with black accessories. When at rest it likes to hold the antennae straight up in the air. The ovipositor is as long as the abdomen. About 5 mm long. Family Ichneumonidae.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light in the garden, San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.

Thank you Gustavo. I think you are right. The wing venation is hard to see, but looks Ichneumonid.
