This beautiful tall red bird was found in a wetland area near the Provo River outside of Heber City in Utah
The Sandhill crane nests in wetland areas and usually raises one or two chicks. this bird had one chick

Habitat:

prairies, wetlands. The crane migrates to Utah to breed.
