Description:
These Bee flies are nectar and pollen collectors and the larve feed on insect larve and eggs. The straight appendage on the head is called a proboscis that is used to gather nectar. Fuzzy body and round abdomen. When at rest the wings are angled. There is dark markings on upper parts of the wings.
Habitat:
This one was found in a mix wooded forest.
