Field Notes

Description:

Bright yellow moth with brown wing mottling n forewings and a large eyespot on each hindwing. Long orange hairs along the inside edge of the hindwings extending across the anterior below the eyespots and beneath a similar black arc. ~2.75 inch wingspan.

Habitat:

Very rural area in open area of woods where a house sits. Attracted to moth lights/sheet.
