Field Notes

Description:

this deliciously fragrant flower was on the ground having fallen from a tall tree. I don't have any pics of the leaves but I was told by my guide it was called casteno, or at least that's how I spelled what they said. hoping my Colombian noah friends will know this.

Habitat:

tropical rainforest, amazon

Notes:

I loved the smell of these blooms. I would just pick one up and carry it with me for a while, constantly sniffing it.

Thanks Gerardo. They do look similar, still looking for a match.
