Field Notes

Description:

Small gray bird with upper gray body and lower white body. The bill is curved downward. Can be seen climbing up and down on tree trunks in search of insects. Coloring provides reasonably good camouflage for this bird while on the tree trunk.

Habitat:

Forests and woodlands, parks and wooded neighborhoods
